It is important that your name on travel documents (passports, birth certificates, etc.) and photo identification be IDENTICAL to those names on the cruise and airline tickets. In the event of a different name due to a name change, marriage, divorce, etc., documentation supporting this change is required. You would need the original marriage certificate or divorce papers showing the reason for the change. Especially when it comes to divorce papers you must be diligent. The paperwork must state that you can use the name that is on the supporting documentation. It can't simply state that you are now divorcing from that low-down lying, cheating creep----I digress :-)
The instance of a persons' vacation being disrupted are far slimmer if they have all of their paperwork in order before they try to board the plane or cruise ship. If in doubt - call the airlines, cruise line or your travel agent.
