There is one thing that you can count on especially in South Florida, is the weather constantly changing. You definitely learn to be prepared for anything. So while on a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean with a stop at Key West, we learned the value of a rain poncho.
It was pouring rain while we did a scavenger hunt in Key West. to me, it was a miserable experience. I hate being wet unless I am in the pool or at the beach. Getting splashed while sailing in the Long Island Sound was my least favorite part of sailing. But I digress....We had to go buy a rain poncho so we wouldn't get soaked. While it made us less wet, it did not make things enjoyable. I have dried and refolded that poncho to be kept in our luggage for the future. Even though you don't envision inclement conditions on vacation, do yourself a solid - pack a rain poncho.
