I read in TravelPulse.com, that "The Inn on Fifth (Naples, Florida) has begun construction on a $15 million expansion project that will add new suites and meeting space for guests, and more retail locations for the shopping, dining and entertainment district of Fifth Avenue South. The project is expected to be completed in December 2012. The Club Level Suites will offer guests enhanced, upscale accommodations, along with all the amenities of the Inn on Fifth. Club Level guests will be greeted at the valet by the concierge and escorted to an exclusive Club Level check-in. They will also receive several added luxuries, including a private rooftop hot tub and sunbathing area, buffet breakfast, afternoon tea, afternoon snacks, and evening cocktails and appetizers. The first floor of the new building will feature retail space intended to add to Fifth Avenue’s impressive collection of shops, galleries and restaurants. A new executive boardroom will bring the inn’s total meeting space to nearly 9,000 square feet."
I have a lot of very fond memories of The Inn of Fifth. My husband and I have taken long weekend getaways to Naples a few times. The Inn of Fifth has never failed to live up to our standards. It is a beautiful, understated place. The food is great. I am sitting here thinking about how it has been too long since we were there. Maybe we can squeeze in a weekend trip really really soon!
