What should I do with Fido or Fifi while on vacation? That is a very good question. It also could potentially be an added expense to your vacation. Obviously, if you have a trusted friend, neighbor or relative who care care for your pet in your home while you are on vacation, all the better for you. All you would have to do would be endow them with an appropriate gift for their time and trouble. Your pets will be happier, too, being at home where they are comfortable. But if you do not have that option, I would consider a pet sitting service or boarding them at your vets office. Neither is a very affordable option but sometimes you have to suck it up for your 'babies'.  The pet sitting services can offer you the option of either coming to your home or bringing them to their home to watch them. Be careful, though. I have heard stories of people leaving their pets in the care of someone else only to find out that their pets 'went missimg'. Actually what these horrible people do is sell your pets. There has to be a special place in hell for those people.
