Vacation safety

In the interest of safety, I thought that I would mention something that a lot of people don't think about. Before going on any vacation, let a few trusted friends, neighbors and relatives know the particulars of your vacation. They need to know when you are leaving, when you will arriving, who you are going to visit, where you plan on traveling to, how long you will be gone, airline/cruise/train arrival and departure information. These facts would be very helpful to the police if you go missing. That is not to say that I wish anything bad to happen to you on your vacation. But you just never know when something bad will come at you from left field. So be safe - tell someone your plans ahead of time.
