Kate Rice reports in TravelPulse.com that, "
Orbitz for Business has introduced Orbitz for Business Express, targeting small businesses, including those that don’t have a managed travel program. It gives these businesses a dedicated booking site, special rates and discounts, 24/7 assistance from Orbitz staff, travel spending reports, mobile access to travel bookings and flight updates and has no minimum transaction requirements. There are over 30 million business travelers in the United States, of which 70 percent book their travel through an unmanaged process. The new Orbitz program targets companies with smaller travel budgets or unmanaged programs. The idea is to give them a simple program that can be implemented quickly."
What a great idea! Who needs more help than the small businesses of America with some still struggling to stay afloat? This is just one way that the small businesses can help boost the American economy. If the small business owners can generate more business by meeting prospective clients face to face and do it economically, than all the more power to them. Now if only we could get that collective power to work for us small business owners for health insurance, then we REALLY would be cookin'!
